The historical context

The Gallic Roman period, with all its changes, is an era that is very important for our region.

This period, as of the war of the Gaulish, thus from the second half of the Ist century before Chris until the fall of the western empire towards the end of the Vth century, forms by no means a stiff total. In turn periods of prosperity are alternated by dark periods, with on the background the constant mingle of cultures.
