The excavations

The Gallic Roman villa of Malagne, that was excavated more than a century ago, was put to close investigations between 1992 and 1998, in order of the province of Wallonie.

This period, as of the war of the Gaulish, thus from the second half of the Ist century before Chris until the fall of the western empire towards the end of the Vth century, forms by no means a stiff total. In turn periods of prosperity are alternated by dark periods, with on the background the constant mingle of cultures.
