Discovery Day : “The Villa Awakens” – April 4 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
On Saturday, April 4, the Gallo-Roman Villa of Malagne reopens its doors for a new season dedicated to discovery.
The day begins with a guided tour led by a cultural mediator, an ideal way to immerse yourself in the daily life of the Gallo-Romans.
For a special moment close to nature, visitors of all ages can also enjoy meeting the animals on our farm.
On this occasion, you can discover two new temporary exhibitions:
“The Horse: A Long Story”, exploring the relationship between archaeology and ecology, from the ancient horses of Pech Maho to the Przewalski horses of the Causse Méjean, and culminating in the arrival at Malagne of Maïa, a young Heck-bred Tarpan mare.
“30 Years in Words and Images”, which highlights, through photographs and testimonies, the major stages of archaeological discoveries and the evolution of the Gallo-Roman Villa of Malagne since its opening in 1996.
The day concludes with a guided walk organized by Natagora, allowing participants to learn more about amphibians.
