European Archaeology Days : “Looking at Stone and Time” – June 13 and 14 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

As part of the European Archaeology Days, we invite you on June 13 and 14 to discover the Gallo-Roman Villa of Malagne, a unique archaeological site in Wallonia.

Accompanied by a passionate cultural mediator, explore the remains of this vast 1st-century AD agricultural estate. Dive into ongoing archaeological experiments, admire reconstructions of buildings and farming tools, enjoy the tranquility of the ancient gardens and vegetable plots, discover the breeding of ancient animal breeds, and learn about traditional crafts.

On Sunday, Kévin and Pierre from Prospection Lab will introduce visitors to archaeometry, relating to surveys conducted at Malagne in October 2025. How do they analyze the soil? Which instruments allow them to reveal what lies beneath our feet without excavation? This is a unique opportunity to discover the new special issue of the Vi@Malagne series dedicated to this fascinating project.

A true journey through time awaits you at Malagne, where past and present meet.
