“Hortus & Natura” – August 9 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On August 9, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the beautiful ancient-inspired gardens and vegetable garden of the Gallo-Roman Villa of Malagne – recognized as “Remarkable Gardens” – take center stage once again.

Discover nearly 300 plant species in our mosaic and kitchen gardens and learn from our craftsmen about the uses of plants through demonstrations of ancient skills.

Taste Cervoise-beer brewed by our master brewer or enjoy an herbal tea from the garden, all in an atmosphere enlivened throughout the day by numerous partner activities.

You can also witness a globally unique archaeological experiment: the harvesting of spelt using the vallus, the Gallo-Roman harvesting device. A wonderful opportunity to cheer on our faithful donkey Capucine, who will be put to work for this event!
