Patrimony Days – 7/8 September, 2023
As part of the Heritage Days, the Gallo-Roman villa of Malagne will open its doors to the public for free on September 7th and 8th.
Malagne, the Archéoparc of Rochefort, an interpretation center of Gallo-Roman rural civilization and a living museum since 1996, is a unique site in Wallonia. It showcases the daily life of a rural estate in the 1st century AD around the classified remains of a large Gallo-Roman villa. In a well-preserved 10-hectare environment, you will discover the remains of the main residence, reconstructed buildings, Roman-inspired gardens and vegetable plots, and animals of ancient breeds.
