Vegetable and ornamental gardens

The vegetable garden has been laid out along time-honoured Gallo-Roman principles.

This gaily coloured garden harbours an abundance of vegetables and edible wild plants that were indispensable to everyday Gallo-Roman cuisine.

The plants are grouped together depending on which part of the vegetable was used: roots, seeds, leaves, fruit…

Across from the vegetable garden, you can admire a stunning patchwork garden with a colourful array of twenty-two plant beds. This fragrant garden is bursting with useful plants that are divided up according to their purpose: beer-brewing, medicinal plants, aromatic herbs, natural dyes…
